Crossover - LIVE in Berlin, out now on Black Montanas

crossover Crossover - LIVE in Berlin, out now on Black Montanas

The dark deities Vee and Dez collectively known as Crossover have resurfaced from the depths with a Live album out on Black Montanas. Crossover’s has previously been on DJ Hell’s infamous label International Deejay Gigolos and have worked with the likes of Carlo Pennisi of Goblin, whom JUSTICE sampled on their ‘Phantom‘ track.

A quick search for Crossover on Hype Machine shows that not enough people are hip to the cult following of Crossover. Here’s various goods from past Crossover releases:

MP3: Crossover - I Know Your Face

MP3: Crossover - Phostographt (Steve Lawler’s Lights Out Edit)

MP3: Crossover - Wylde Chyld

In the coming months you can expect some internet only Crossover releases, mysterious sightings, and limited edition paraphernalia, all leading up to the release of their 3rd full-length album which I’ve been dying for since their 2005 ‘Cryptic And Dire Sallow Faced Hoods Blast Off Into Oblivion’. You can pick up the acclaimed C&DSFHBOIO from Amazon if you have not yet experienced it. You can get a digital copy of the Live From Berlin album for $2.85 from Black Montana’s MP3 Shop.

Stay tuned to Crossover’s MySpace page for more updates straight from the source.

Crossover - I Know Your Face

This is a story about a girl, asleep behind the wheel. Who by chance, one
evening, comes face to face with her own demon.

Unseen, until now…

Yes, I’ve posted this song before and I’ll do it again. I will keep preaching the gospel that is Crossover until the heathens of the world bow to one knee and sing the praises of Vee & Dez. Drink deep of the sound of salvation, my child.

Crossover - CD0032

crossover Crossover - CD0032

This just arrived in the mail today from Crossover headquaters, ‘Mystik Trvcker Association’ which I believed to be in either heaven or hell, but is in Arizona of all places. Two song EP to hold all of you fanatics over until Vee & Dez release their third full length. The package came complete with CD artwork & the usual pirate communiques & also a dime bags worth of CVLT badges to display your allegiance proudly. These are hand numbered & very limited. Mine is number 30.

Head over to Crossover’s myspace to get one for yourself before they all get snatched up.

It’s only 2 songs so If you want one, go buy it! But I’ll be nice and let you guys stream this one:

CROSSOVER - Over Exposure (video)

Last week our favorite dark ‘lectro duo CROSSOVER sent us this promo vid. Vee & Dez have shown us so much of their hearts through their music, in the video we get to see a little bit of their skin. Enjoy.

Over Exposure was released in 2003 on a three song EP & is actually a cover of ‘Phostographt’ which was released two years later. Word on the street was that CROSSOVER were to have a new album due out last summer, which did not happen. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that a new album will be conceived later this year.

We posted some tracks off ‘Cryptic & Dire’ back in December. Phostographt is from ‘Fantasmo’:

Crossover - Cryptic And Dire Sallow Faced Hoods Blast Off Into Oblivian

CADSFH Crossover - Cryptic And Dire Sallow Faced Hoods Blast Off Into Oblivian

‘Cryptic & Dire Sallow Faced Hoods Blast Off Into Oblivian’ although a mouthful & hard to request a song off of after a couple of drinks was one of my favorite albums of 2005. After hearing ‘I Know Your Face’ & ‘The Visitor’ Crossover quickly became musical crack to me.

All the songs vary in styles and it really is hard to classify the album as anything but ‘good’. C&DSFHBOIO was the duo’s follow up to their 2001 Fantasmo. 5 years is a long time to wait for an album, but this was well worth it. One of the best artists on International Deejay Gigolo Records, IMHO.

Visit their webpage. The site is just as dark & cryptic & confusing as their music is. I love it.
