It’s been a minute since our last VST post, you guys are about due for another. This time we got the all mighty Glitch VST by dblue which Roppenzo from PTNOTR turned us on to. Instead of the previous VST’s we posted which help you to create sound, this bad boy right here helps you to chop it up, crush it down & destroy sounds to all hell, and back.

It’s got 9 different effects that you can sequence however and trigger whenever you like. I liken it to a virtual version Korg’s Kaos Pad.
Here’s a few samples of what this bad boy can do:
Glitch VST used on vocals: Glitch v1.3 Audio Demo - Bomb Drop
Glitch VST used on beats: Glitch v1.3 Audio Demo - Pacific
Glitch VST used on Chromeo’s “Needy Girl”: Glitch v1.3 Audio Demo - Chromeo - Needy Girl
Best of all this mug is free to all. Visit Glitch’s homepage to get your copy. All you need is halway decent computer and a VST capable host. I use Ableton. If you don’t have a VST host, you can get a free one here.
Don’t just be a music lover, be a music producer.
Make shit & send it to us!

Glitch (used with discretion) rules!
If you want to hear more glitch in action, you can download my track “Just Want To Rock” from here
I’ve used it on vocals.
definitely, use discretion! with glitch, LESS IS MORE!
AAAA! NO MAC VERSION!!!
You Windows kidz get all the free VST luv.
I know you’re talking software here, but I was just checking for a hardware solution for my DJ setup and I came up on thus flippin’ sweet Pioneer EFX1000 video demo. The video clocks in at about 25 minutes so broadband is a must. A EFX1000 goes for about $800 from an eBay retailer (or you could get the little brother, the EFX500, which will only do half this cool shit ’cause it won’t do 8-bar echos or other things).
Watch the video. (Scroll down and click watch video.)
Hot sauce!
SHIOT. I only review software cuz that it’s free. I’d love to review the MPC500! Battery operated, so clean looking! But that would require me to buy one, which at this point is impossible.
Unless I go to Guitar Center & camp out there all day & write a review about it there. Ha. I might do that!
Yes, these plugin really rocks!!
This plug-in I’ve used…I wish I could find something similar for mac.
Does anyone know of a VST that does DJ-like scratch effects? The tape effect on Glitch is close - and the interface of Glitch is if PERFECT for controlling something like that.
I triyed using it but could not make it work? how do it make it work?
@ Rito, you need a vst host. I use Ableton. put the plugin in your VST folder (usually C:/program files/vstplugins) then open the host program & load the VST that way.
This is a great VST! I love it. Finally glitch style tunes are even easier to make.
So I downloaded Glitch
And I downloaded VSThost
and I opened glitch within VSTHost.
I’m fine up to there.
Now who do I open an mp3?
And how would I export a track?
Hey tyler, I dont know how to use VSThost. You dont have Ableton?! the glitch VST isn’t capable of making any noise on its own. & i dont know if vst host can wither. Download the Syntendo VST and open that in VSThost and see if that makes sound, if it does, try to record the sound, then apply the glitch to the sound you recorded.
excellent one!!!
thats the plugin i was looking for!!!
I have a question with Glitch. I’ve been jamming with it using Traktion 3 as a host. I want to use Reason as a slave, tweak it with Glitch, and record what I’m doing to edit later. Can’t seem to figure it out quickly. Any insights?
Hey guys, this looks absolutley amazing but i just can’t figure out to use it in ableton i’m new to ableton and it’s just like too daunting. I NEED HELP! anyone? please?!
Hey Ollie. So, I assume you’ve downloaded teh Glitch VST. Now, you should put it in your VST folder. Standard VST folder location on a PC is C:/Program Files/VSTplugins. If that folder doesn’t exist, create and save all your VST’s here.
Then open up Abelton, then open up preferences. Click on VST settings and point Abelton to the C:/Program Files/VSTplugins folder. Now Abelton will index all of your VST’s.
Then create a new midi track, drop your favorite VST on it, make sure you turn on the midi clock, and jam out! hope that helps!
Is it OK if I say, I love you?
Thanks again
I use this VST in my song. You all can check at my band site
song title is ” My Life 3″
