nice mix!
i concur metrosexican. there are some real gems in these mixes. this is the kind of stuff Basura plays early on in the night at the blank. too bad no one’s there to hear it but me & the bartenders!
thanks guys!
Solid mix. Basura. selects the best tracks from nearly every genre. However, there is a couple of things to be desired. First off, the sound is low, maybe I’m getting old and my ears have lost sensitivity, but the sound is a little low. Second, with the first mix, did you plan much of it? or was it in the vein of the Random Exxcess Mix and threw in whatever as you were mixing? cos the songs sounded a bit rushed. I dunno- i know what my best friend is fully capable of when he dishes out mixes, so i tend to notice these types of things. I might be wrong, but this is just my opinion. Nevertheless a solid mix, my favorite part was Andrea Parker’s “Invasion” track going with Joy Division’s “Passover” track…done imperviously.
Moreover, the second mix was very fullfilling, it was longer, allowed me to into the rhythm and feel of the mix in totality, excellent job!!!
Through and through; DJ Basura IS my favorite DJ, has been so since 2001. He is never scared to take chances, he doesn’t reserve himself as to what he plays or if the musical format will fit, he loves the music he plays, and he’s not afraid of exuding that to the audience- he’s always honest. Its always an exciting ride when listening to his mixes, he’ll never you down. ^_^

yes r3ndr, it’s true- the first installment is a bit rushed…initially, i wanted to cram 40 tracks on each mix [ie. 2 many dj's, girl talk, etc.] but found it to be too much, so i lessened the amount of tracks. i do wanna make a mix where there are like, 60 tracks on it though! it will happen sometime, possibly this year…anyway, also keep in mind that i spent about a weekend making these mixes, so there was a little more preparation than the extremely ‘random’ random excess mix. about the sound quality- i’ll try to get the mixes louder!
Oh, okay, now it makes sense. As I now see what yer aim was with this mix. Yeah, for the life of me i couldn’t understand why the some of tracks seemed rushed, I would start to get into it, then bam! into another song. I guess i’m not used to these kinds of mixes, I like 2 Many DJs mixes-
but there mixes is more inventive and bulk than it is enjoyable but that’s just me. Any who thanks for responding; clarifying this, and keep dishing out the jams!
Love You!
